Sounds like a complete non-story to me but I expect the Trump campaign will turn it into another victimisation of Trump narrative in the hope it will boost his poll ratings again.

According to US media sources - The shot(s) fired were not on the golf course, nor near Trump himself but linked to a man who was seen with a firearm in the vicinity of the Trump International Golf course where Trump was getting in a round. The campaign team heard shots fired, so he was moved to a place of safety according to protocol. There isn’t any confirmation whether the shot(s) was from police/secret service or the armed man nor whether the shooting was even connected to Trump in any way.

It’s Miami, not exactly a place of low gun violence.

From the New York Post. Obviously still a developing story though.

Initial reports suggested two people were firing at each other. However, sources said investigators now believe the Secret Service agent was the only shooter.

CNN reported that the gunman fired at Trump, however sources told The Post that the only reported shooter so far is the Secret Service agent.
