Lewis Dunk taking four or five attacking free kicks per season is a very small issue considering how rare free kick goals are no matter who gets the job.

It wouldn't surprise me if he wanted to compensate for how lazy and arrogant he looked for most of the game.
I agree free kicks are not a big deal. It wasn't his best game for sure but he fulfilled his part in the match by getting a clean sheet, it was down to the rest to break the tractors boys down.

What concerns me is that we had no Pedro, Wieffer, or Gruda available at all, and Estupinan was only on the bench. I know they traveled during the week, but does that mean that we drop players after almost every international break?
I agree , we need all our top players to be playing, if they can’t after the international break don’t let them go ,

F-me you daft can’t!

Your one man campaign against Hinshelwood is getting so tiresome. Especially as so many other players were worse than Hinsh today including Dunk and Hinsh’s replacement, Ferdi.

In fact, Hinsh was one of our better performers today bearing in mind the no-shows from folk like Minteh and Ayari. Yet you single him out because you have a personal vendetta. Pathetic.
Ayari was class today. Hinshelwood was poor at the back and his set pieces were woeful.

Yes, poor English.
Stroll about. An element of the nonchalant. Perhaps complacent. I won't quite go as far as arrogance.

Well, he was very casual. You could see it in every pass he took, they weren't bad but they didn't have power and pace, they were just enough to reach his team mate. Those kinds of things slow the game down which is most certainly not what we wanted to do today.

Body language, plenty of smile exchanges and the "meh, don't think this Delap guy can be any dangerous.. oops".

I hope Hurz had a good word with him.

The second manager in a row falls for “Dunk takes a mean free-kick at Lancing”.

Hinshelwood and mitoma dreadful

Pleasantly surprised with ayari looked class and intelligent. Baleba and absolute beast.

Disagree with a lot on here. Ipswich were very good against Fulham last week and were great for a newly promoted team today at the amex. Great tactics, solid and had a slight threat. Also a pretty good footballing side.
so was Minteh , he was awful today

Wow. That was a frustrating one. Sun was shining, spirits good, promising first half. Second half just degenerated into nothingness. Oddly, Minteh aside, we just didn't play too badly. Just strangely apologetic and weak around the box. Crying out for Pedro or a firing Ferguson. JPVH and Baleba both great. Baleba is an obscenely good player. Can't believe he wouldn't have been useful more last season.

Not seen too much of Ayari before but he was decent.

Minteh....yikes. again, not seen muchnof him as I missed united game and haven't been to away. He was horrible though. Clumsy and terrible touch. Hopefully just one of those days for a raw player but not convinced he should be starting. Definitely.more useful in defence than adingra and handsonhipsico.

Mitoma grew into it in the second half but back to those irritating soft, flapped crosses and shots and walking round with his head down.

Bah.

I'm going to have a chocolate bar.

We haven’t dropped anyone. Pedro came back from the international break injured. Pervis hasn’t started a league game all season. Wieffer has been out injured since the United game and Grudu has only just started full training after arriving injured. Neither of those last two were involved in any international football.

Hinshelwood played well and got better as the game went on. He's genuinely a really good player. I was quite surprised he went off and today was the first time I saw he could definitely do it in midfield. Perhaps even more so than ful back. His passing and positions were good and he's definitely beefed out a bit.

Agree about Hinsh, he was good. You’re being harsh on Ayari though.

Thought Ferdi looked very rusty and nervous and struggled physically.

You don't see how it can be considered a little bit... pathological to express your hatred for Jack in nearly post you make?

Think Adingra should have come on much earlier for Minteh. Should start against Forest.

Velrman and JPVH. Very good.

Mitoma and Minteh patchy, but borh had their moments

Baleba an absolute beast.

Hinsh, Welbz and Ayari really good

Rutter, Verbruggen OK

Dunk not at his best

Genuinely don't think it was a bad performance.

Ipswich putting in the kind of performamce that kept us up under Hughts.
