I'm embarrassed to say I don't know too much about our Women's side strengths and weaknesses.
It seems we've lost one or two good players but have recruited some decent experienced players alongside some exciting youngsters.
I'm feeling that we should be a better side than last season and that we also have a promising Aussie coach. Does that sound about right?

Can someone who knows provide a summary of what's happened and what the so-called experts think we are going to do this season. Is there a chance we could break into the top four or is this season too soon?

Where is the best written media coverage found for the women's game?

In truth, there currently isn't a good source on the Women's team. The website is very limited and the social media pages are very specific and limited in their coverage. There's never a whisper about the injury status of a player, for example - Charlie Rule missed almost all of the last season. Never a hint at what her injury was. I assumed she'd been packed back off to Australia like Hawksby but no, she's the cover girl for the new kit release. Very strange.

The women's team is going to have dramatic annual churn until there is a stadium and players are on longer contracts. The Women's game is still in its infancy and will develop and grow with time but right now it's not very serious.

Does anyone that follows the ladies side know whether any matches will be played at the Amex this season.
I'm keen to take our team to a match, Crawley is a trek for us though, so hoping we play a couple there.

Last season there were 2 WSL fixtures at the Amex - Spurs in October 2023 and Everton in April 2024.

I'd imagine something similar.

Thanks. We had season tickets, Sunday fixtures put a stop to it unfortunately. I don't recall when the days of Amex games were made public. I thought it was known at season start. Any idea?

Hopefully number of games at the Amex will be confirmed at the Fan Forum on Tuesday. Previous seasons there has been a committment to have 2 games there, though that hasn't always happened when fixtures get postponed/moved for TV. It would be nice if they told us which fixtures they were aiming to have at the Amex at the start of the season, but sometimes its only when the fixtures get confirmed once TV have had their say.

So with attendances for the women in mind andr Blooms commitment to build them a permanent home, what sort of ground capacity would be about right?
Last thing the team would want is a 15k size stadium with 3k inside on a good day.
So with the space already available at lancing why not build a 5-10k capacity stadium there? Surely that must be a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to get the required planning permission.
I've probably missed the all important bit that nothing else can be built there due to some pregnant Newt being spotted in labour there ,and a thousand island apologies if I have.

No you have missed the point that they want the stadium within the Brighton and Hove city boundaries.

None are designated for the Amex on the WSL schedule. Would they Ipswich the stadiums sometime in the future?
The post from @zeetha (234) says it best.

Crawley is the default setting so any home fixtures are automatically set there, but expect some changes in the next few days.
