Mills just confirmed no Archer for finals day.
I guess the upside is that other clubs will be affected. I think we only lose the one. That's still a very potent bowling attack there.

It makes you wonder what's going on with the cricket powers that be when you lose one of your best
bowlers and we (Surrey) may lose Sam Curran. Almost makes the whole bloody
competition pointless really.

It’s all down to scheduling around the Hundred, an event with teams that no one has any tribal affinity with and players who are only in it for the money. A wasted August.

Was there any confirmation if we would be the first or second semi final?

No, will depend on the results of the other games.
Thanks - did they say in which way? Hoping we get the early semi to avoid the clash with Ipswich home game.

Well what an absolute tonic! That was the most stress free t20 game I have seen…let alone a quarter final. From the moment Robbo bowled Salt we were always ahead.I know Livingstone had his cameo but it was always a tough ask to get a score from there.
I know we haven’t got Joffra for the finals but it was still great to see what a player he is.So quick…..it brings back all those memories of when he first joined and CJ was coaching him every ball.
An absolute terrific evening……..oh and you can stick the hundred up your arse!

I agree. I was sat with @Sergei's Celebration’s Dad and he basically called it very early. By the time we’d cruised to 70 all we needed to do was knock off singles.

It was wonderfully relaxing. Salt first ball. Brilliant.

Hove actually
I had an entertaining evening. Was sitting next to Dick Knight. Endless chat.

Won’t be at the finals as Ipswich at home the priority.

Excellent night at Hove. Atmosphere was eclectic, best it’s been for a long time. Robbo bowling Salt first ball will live long in the memory!
