[Football] Would Man City take a 100 pt deduction tomorrow.

On the back of Leicester getting away with it, if offered to Man City, would they take a 100pt deduction?
Nothing else, no fine, no more lawyers fees, straight 100 points effective immediatly. They could still play and win the cups thus play in Europe next season (presume Championship clubs can do that?).
It would be good for the Championship with new supporters getting to see the highly paid team of superstars. With no cap on away fans, clubs would charge top wack for tickets. On the other hand, City would field two teams, 1 for the league and the main team for Europe. Imagine the uproar as Haarland and Co get dropped mid week away at Plymouth.

This is where I am too. I strongly suspect that they'll get a points deduction of the magnitude that will prevent them from winning the title but won't be enough to relegate them.

FA have FA to do with it. They’re fighting the rules of the private members club that they are members of.

In other news the European Premier League have agreed in principle to waiver the 1,372 charges levied against the single remaining team from Manchester in what was formally England following the relocating of Manchester United to Seattle to join the All American Premier League, that related to their blatant cheating back in the early 2020’s. A spokesman for Manchester Kickers All Stars, mr Al Habib El Sulleman and the general manager Mr Al Ripemov welcomed the news and said they would immediately withdraw the counter claims brought for “ upsetting the feelings of the government of the country financing the team and making them threaten to withdraw and join the All Chinese a premier League with the team formally known as Chelsea( now known as Where has all the money gone Todd) in a fit of pique”. The president of the European Premier League was last seen though a darkened window with his trousers around his ankles , bending over and a long queue of the owners of the said Manchester club lining up behind him.

I think they would accept a 0 points deduction, an apology from the EPL, all of their legal costs paid and a blessing to continue doing what they have been doing for several years.

The Leicester ' result ' yesterday is a disaster in respect of thinking that City will get punished appropriately. If little old Leicester's lawyers spotted the ' technical accounting error ' that got them off the hook just how easy will it be for City's swathe of uber lawyers to find a way to wriggle out of it? Of course the volume of charges against City is different but I'm not instilled with confidence.

They would take it. Still think the punishment could be worse. The Leicester loophole won’t impact.

Of course they won't accept that. You'll throw money at the problem (paying top KCs) to get them off.

I think Leicester getting away with their breaches sets the tone. A lot of the charges against City are the "spirit of the law" rather than actual black and white rule breaches, as I understand it - and a lot of it is quite repetitive/duplicative. I think it's fairly certain that City will settle outside of court and I'm sure that both parties will be keen to do so. I am guessing a dramatic fine and a 45 point deduction. Hopefully it happens this season so that there are two places available in the top 4, rather than one.

I think they would accept just a points deduction. One relegation, an enjoyable season in the Championship and back again beating everyone.

I think there is little to no chance of an actual meaningful points deduction in that scenario.
They might accept 6-9 to appease the clubs which have been forced to accept pts deductions.
