Look at Spurs: they’ve had 15 head coaches (12 permanent) since they’ve won anything - which was a League Cup in 2007-2008 under Juande Ramos, himself considered a failure. Sometimes a club is just rotten with a losing mentality, no matter how much they spend or whatever top head coach they bring in.

Look at Mourinho, did a FANTASTIC job at Manchester United with a poor, aging side. Won trophies, got them in the Top 4 somehow. But no, not good enough for them despite his overachievement. Similar story at Spurs, watch the documentary - EVERYTHING he said was absolutely true.

So yeah, go ahead, sack the coach. Again. Have a little boost and another false dawn. Then watch as this new miracle head coach fails to get a tune out of a completely overrated and uninterested Rashford, Sancho, Maguire et al, as they quietly collect their approximate £800k p/w between them.

Saw something the other day saying rashford, Casemiro, and Bruno between them take 1 million a week.

ETH I think.
Everton had a poor start but with the team they have, I think their best chance at staying up is just sticking with Dyche. I also don't think they can afford to hire another manager.

Except that now clubs are being fined and charges being brought for PSR infringements there are signs the playing field is beginning to level, in which case it does become more about the coach and less about the money.

Liverpool have barely spent anything, Newcastle have the richest owners in UK football yet have not spent big, Haaland looks like he'll win Citeh the title by himself and yet they are still 10th to get relegated.

If United had a decent coach I think they'd at least be nailed on for that 4th spot this season. The directors made a shocking error of judgement in retaining ETH because he won the FA Cup. There is no identity to their football, it is not good to watch, they lack pace, commitment, they cannot press.
