So 48 hours on from "RiceGate," I have to say I have rarely seen a fanbase quite so rattled as the red lot from North London.
They are immune to facts and reason, and any attempt to enter into a reasoned debate about what happened usually ends with insults being thrown by them.
Joel Veltman - what have you done 🤣

I'd forgotten all about it. I guess it may take them a little longer.

'If you have zero tolerance against this, and it stamps it out, then surely for the long term benefit of better teams...that's a good thing'

'Then I'm thinking, why would they enforce it against us ?'

I've already heard claims the decision to give Rice a second yellow has 'cost them the title', like the decision to give Newcastle's goal against them in November last season was entirely to blame, rather than the 6 points dropped against Villa, the 4 points dropped against Fulham, playing out bore draws with City and Liverpool, not having the bollocks to go for the win etc etc. Just the same as how Saka and Havertz weren't to blame for missing gilt-edged chances at 1-1. You've got to be pretty much flawless to beat City over a season, and they weren't. Again.

I will very, very rarely have any respect for the opinions of any 'fans' of them, United and Chelsea, along with Liverpool fans that live in Cornwall and post-2008 City fans.

Your post has the same tone as I’ve seen Crawley fans adopt re the Matt O'Riley incident.. it’s very obvious why they feel so annoyed. We'd be outraged if it was the other way around. We’ve benefited from the situation. Best just to keep quiet rather than goading their fans even further.

My boss is a gooner and I have to say, he's been really good about the whole thing.
He said a point was a decent result for both sides and said by the letter of the law Rice had to go. No bitching, no whining, no hint of the title race being over already.
The same can't be said for the United fan who is rapidly descending the 9 circles of hell, his season is over already, he's not really not enjoying the shit he's getting in the group chat, and long may it continue.

I'd say we're still in it. Won't be too many teams getting points away at Arsenal.
