Charge what you want but the dynamic pricing thing is ridiculous. Millions of people joined the queue at the same time, but the ones who were put at the back of the queue have to pay more? There's no argument to justify this.
This.

It is common in theatre now, and works brilliantly.

In theatre, shows generally don’t sell out way in advance and lots of business is last minute/same day, meaning that prices swing dynamically downwards more than they go up.

I’ve picked up best seats sold at over £150 for as little as £30 this way.

Blimey - just got 2 via Twickets at cost price for standing. Not sure somebody why somebody couldn't go having only bought them on Saturday but quite chuffed.
Glad to know that my Twickets app notifications are working as well as ever.:angry::angry:

I am reasonably confident of getting something at some point by the time the gigs come around, with the number of tickets sold there's always going to be a fair number of people who find they can't go for one reason or another.

...I am still waiting for Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band, supported by by Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, to play Brighton Centre or Dome, or maybe DLWP :)

Erm… Springsteen allowed Ticketmaster to price gouge on his most recent tour, so bad example!

But let’s not kids ourselves. Bands aren’t enabling it to they can break even - they do it to milk money out of desperate fans.
Fair point. The ticket I bought was very reasonable though.

Where do you buy these theatre tickets? direct from the venues or through some agency?

Great that Twickets cut their fees (I've used them many, many times) - but they need to do it for ALL artists/events!

It would be very interesting if, in the interest of transparency, Ticketmaster / Live Nation / Oasis published the number of tickets sold at each price level.

I suspect that this may prove somewhat embarrassing for them though, so I won't be holding my breath.
