On another forum I use, it's simply a tick. Often I'll find I agree with a post, even if I don't like it.

While complicated gifs might look cooler, I think it's more important that an option is simply there.

Anther notable reaction is 'thanks' (hands clasped together). But I guess 'like' covers that to some extent.
