Many, many congratulations. :clap2:

What an opportunity for young Jack, to play alongside generational talent, Adam Wharton.
Indeed, great news for Jack and well deserved.

As for Wharton, what's going on there? Gets a call up for the Euros. Like Dunky, doesn't play a minute. Now seemingly relegated to the 21s to be replaced by, erm, Angel Gomes.

Rushworth (now no longer eligible for the U21s) never quite managed to edge past Trafford. Trafford's career hit a few bumps in the road last season - wonder if young Beale can oust him.

Beadle has no chance of playing if Mr Tickle is one of his rivals

Goalkeepers named Beadle and Tickle. Someone is taking the Michael.

I know Gomes was really good for Carsley when he managed the U-21s. So him stepping up makes sense.

Dropping the bestest English midfielder ever seems strange though. I was lead to believe we should be building the team around Wharton

Pleased for Hinsh but strange. Assume FA have scouts watch young players and Hinsh albeit out of position has had two poor games so what has impressed them and where are they going to play him. In a side dominating possesion he filled in well at RB last season. This was because we spent most of games that we were going forward and he was often able to fill his more favoured mid fill roll. Would be odd if was selected for U21s at FB but perhaps more so in MF because very few of us have seen him play there.

Trafford if I remember produced one of best ever keeper performances for Burnley against Albion

Two poor games? I've seen both and that wasn't my reading at all. Quality player, playing out of position but doing a good job was how I saw it in both games.

Strange? Most of the England U21s aren't good enough to even get a sniff at the Premier League.

Jack won't be long in the U21s. If he keeps fit I think he'll be in the England first team squad by the end of the season.

He made a lot of saves, but admittedly our players kicked/headed the ball *at* him a number of times, boosting the stats.

Edit: looking at Sofascore, he apparently prevented 3.00 xG - that's a pretty good performance! Another problem we had that day was that of our 29 shots, only 11 were on target...

Bit harsh He was one person that kept Burn;ey in the game. Only time have said that before about a keeper was Marshall against Cardiff.
