As for the Brighton fans ,Jesus ,do they take sleeping tablets before they go to games .
Did the noisier ones stay at home for this game .Funny lot of supporters ,seems a very middle class vibe and happy clappy feel about the place .
I won't even talk about the trains ,jesus ,no wonder you lot are so quiet ,to busy planning wondering if you need to leave 20 minutes early to avoid the wait .
I won't wish you well for the season nor will I hope you tumble back to the championship,where you really do belong because for all the melts on here trying to get some kind of rivalry started Crawley just aren't interested , Brighton have never been on the radar in the town and never will be ,not untill you eventually slip down the leagues and we get to play you more often.

Grimsby were a League Two side when they visited us in the FA Cup QF having put out another top flight side away from home in the previous round.

If anything, they'd have had more reason to be overly physical and 'mix it' being a division lower than Crawley.

But they believed that they had enough football in them to compete without resorting to violent conduct that endangered player safety.

The difference in approaches to playing the game is clear for all to see.

Crawley lost a lot more than just a game of football last night.

I do love it when these newbies turn up and want to try and give a faux lecture to us about the tough side of the mean streets of football. Forgetting that we won league 1 just over 10 years ago playing tika taka football and not the usual agricultural methods of that level. And we beat a prem club doing it too a year later.

We don't see Crawley as rivals. Youre more like that awful 'bar' that's recently opened that you walk past to get to a decent old fashioned boozer.

As for being physical. Baleba and Igor showed you can have physicality (to use your parlance 'putting it about') without being cynical and dirty.

Your judgement that the red card wasn't that bad as the player got up after 20 seconds is straight out of the pub league. I reckon you turned to your plane spotting mate and said 'he was entitled to do that, the ball was there to be won'. I should formally apologise for our player getting out of the way from the worst of it and not standing there and 'taking it like a man'.

As for trains, GTR clearly didn't think of you as a big enough club to put the usual extra services on.

We have played plenty of League 1 type sides in the past, and they did not feel the need to kick lumps

Its a real shame as I thought Crawley played some lovely stuff, and I would be suprised if they dont make the play offs.

They suffer from almost over playing and needing to shoot more.

Shame as the bad tackle on ORiley spoilt the whole night for me

Just hope its not as bad as it seems.

The Ref totally lost control of the game, he was dreadful all round.

When we were playing Wimbledon regularly there was a bit of rivalry and the Wind ups usually involved MK winning the Fa cup and not the newly established Wimbledon.
Have a listen to the Crawley fans singing during the 8-1 drubbing of Mk....you know what you are , franchise bastard's you know what you are .

Are you actually serious? There has never been legal action as a result of a deliberate injury and there likely never will be. It’s frustrating that our new player got injured but we really need to move on. We’re starting to sound like Donny Rovers fans after Lewis Dunk killed Billy Sharp.

I am good friends with the captain of national league north side and he is a firm but fair defender. He would never try to hurt someone like that from higher league. You can be hard tackler without being a thug.

Compare that to Calde who received a red card for breaking the Newport player’s leg in a 50/50 challenge, 13 years ago. The red card was rescinded as it was accidental.
Calde was mortified and visited Antony in hospital the following day.

Making excuses for the thuggery of your football is a bad look. "Oh but we’re only a little club in a lower division — we can’t help the way we behave…". The Grimsby team and fans were great when they came here in the FA Cup, so don’t give me that bollocks.

And with the dismal exception of Palace, your fans are the absolute worst I can remember at the Amex in years. Pissed-up kids making fools of themselves on the trains and outside the ground like it was their big annual day out at the seaside away from their parents. I’m an old bloke, nearly 70, but was goaded by a bunch of your thugs before the match for doing nothing worse than sitting down, having a coffee and reading the programme. Have a bit of class FFS.
