A squad of 25 to 27 seems about right to me.

There's very little chance that in any given game we'll have fewer than 5 unavailable. If things go as badly as last season, then we could have around 10 to 12 out at any given time. Remember there's only been 2 games and we've got about 7 unavailable. More than half our squad will be off playing internationals

We certainly don't want to find ourselves in the position where we have very few options in team selection and can't rotate when a player is in the red zone for minutes played.

Say we had 26, this means that even in a bad injury scenario, say 10 injured, we can still get 5 senior players on the bench. There will be very few games where we have senior players who can't make the matchday squad

He signed a 3-year deal when he joined in July 2020.
The club never reported it, but the FA's Agents Transactions Report showed that he signed an extended deal some time around July 2022. We can only guess at the contract length but presumably it was until June 2025.
You're the best! (y)
