I deleted my Twitter account and I am no lesser person for it. That way I don't have to waste my emotions fretting over users like that.

The only account I miss is the Southern Rail parody.

Claims to be a supporter since the late 80s, but is now expat (and also hates the UK).

He despises (in no particular order): Almost every other Brighton fan, Lewis Dunk, Kaoru Mitoma, Bart Verbruggen, Joel Veltman, Facu Buonanotte Pascal Gross, Tariq Lamptey, Julio Enciso (hard to tell if he likes any of the players tbh), Paul Barber, Tony Bloom, the club's PR admin...

Is this account known here?
Is he really an Albion supporter?

I found it genuinely rather depressing, and feel tainted after reading it.

But I had that 'couldn't look away' social media car crash thing going on, which I usually don't find too hard to extricate myself from. As a content/trigger warning, he is also happy to use ableist and other slurs.

I know there can be some negativity on here, but this is next next level.

I mostly agree, and as such I deleted my personal account many months ago, but I have a podcast that needs promoting so - with regret - I kind of have to keep an account going for that.

So, with gritted teeth, I do dip in to #BHAFC via that because, like it or not, it's still invariably the first place that news appears.

He's so unreal made me laugh simply because he is so OTT in a effort to shock. I really would treat this person with the contempt he deserves. Who cares about him honestly, move on and enjoy our football team :thumbsup:

You are, of course, absolutely right.

Even though I consider myself a 'young' 52 and have been very much internet-present for decades, some online behaviour still baffles me.


I think as much as anything the juxtaposition between my own current Albion Mojo (bubbling between 9 and 11 out of 10) and his was shocking and took me aback.

Indeed this, the main perpetrators will claim “freedom of speech” whilst constantly using vile hatred towards each and everyone, from the safety of their username and their bedroom.

I find it’s very good for local traffic updates. The same information is on Facebook I’m told but I don’t use it.
Non league football news is always good, I’ve mentioned on the Non league thread that some teams don’t have great websites but good info on Twitter.

I don’t like the advertising but I’m not paying to not see them. I block accounts I don’t want to see and use the muted words option.

The fact that his account doesn't follow anyone suggests that he has a real account that supports Palace and this is just a secondary one he uses to troll us!

His content has just been served up on my X “For you” feed. I would say definitely a troll, and one that has amassed a whole 32 followers now. If he’s not a troll, then he needs some help with life.

Also he doesn’t seem to know the difference between “contempt” and “content” (as in happy).

Anyway, I’ve blocked him. No interest in reading his cocktail of vitriol and ignorance.

Take it at as a sign. Don’t give X the time of day, delete it from your phone. Anything about the Albion on X worth remotely reading will end up in here within minutes anyway. Of course it should be taken as a pinch of salt even then. X doesn’t deserve your anxiety and you certainly don’t deserve to feel the way you do about some no-mark. Get rid of X. Be happy.
