Who you would start, not who you think will start

Thought Minteh was superb against Everton but not so good yesterday. Dalot was as good as Mykolenko was bad which probably explains that one albeit he certainly released the ball earlier against Everton than he did yesterday.

Adingra hasn't done much wrong from the bench. You could argue a good case for him to start. Good vision to pick out Pedro and a fine goal last week.

Against Arsenal I'd just edge Minteh on the basis he seems to track back moe urgently then Adingra and Veltman will need a bit of help with Martinelli. That said, I don't think either of them excel in that regard.

I'm not sure thats going to be our problem. I'd be more worried about our defence based on yesterday. But to the quesiton at hand, I'd probably do similar to what we did yesterday. Minteh needs game experience, he looked out of touch with his team mates yesterday with his head down too much. Hopefully more playing/training time will fix that (and a word in his shell like). Then Adingra can come on and be a shot in the arm we need late on like yesterday. We need a snazzy Adingra at the end, not a tired one...

Way they played yesterday - Arsenal that is I’d start Mineh still. Defensively I think he’s stronger tracking the full back and Timber was very high for them. He may also find that space in behind Timber and get himself 1v1 wide v Gabrielle.
Andringa is pushing both wingers hard for a start which is what we need.

Quite simply l wouldn'c hange a winning team, Minteh didn't get as involved yesterday as he did at Everton, but the Manure full back did a very good job on him.

Although Adringra's cross led to the winning goal l's start with Minteh, iwith the reassurance that Adingra will be on the bench if we need to kake a change.

It will be interesting to see who, if either of them, is involved against Crawley on Tuesday night.

I thought I'd be the odd one out when voting Minteh. I think Adingra is currently the better player, but I like Minteh's pace and he needs game time to make better decisions. I fear we're going to get battered by Arsenal. We were completely outplayed by them at the Emirates last year, and we currently have less idea what we're doing than we did then, so a bit of speed with a lack of fear on the break could be useful.

Minteh, Adingra and Gruda on each others shoulders wearing a very long mac so no one can tell we sneaked the three of them on. *
in fact, we have so much depth in most positions, maybe our away kit should just be a long macintosh coat, and then they will all play and no one will be disgruntled about not making the bench.

* what's the etiquette on replying to your own posts ... feels wrong

Minteh. He’s very much a work in progress and needs to start playing with his head up but his pace will terrify most defences and his work rate is epic. Give him an hour and then let Simon A (or Georgi or Gruda) take over.

What a lovely problem to have!

Minteh did help Veltman out much yesterday, tbh.
He's going to be excellent but never really found his feet against Manure

I'd start with adingra. More experienced and better final ball. Then inflict Minteh on them when they are tiring.

What I would say about Minteh though is he looks more muscular and closes down at pace, which Hurzeler might appreciate.

I personally think we are going to struggle a bit against arsenal. Had a little bit of fortune in the first two games and up against wasteful opposition. I don't think arsenal will be so charitable.

So may need to 'hang in there' and hit on the break later on.

It’s tough that - Minteh is clearly a rough Diamond who needs to play to become probably incredibly good. Adingra deserves to start but as an impact sub is very effective..just don’t leave it too late, bring him on at the hour mark?

To be honest I think Mitoma has 2 styles of playing and when he is up against someone who can do him for pace he seems to constantly pass the ball backwards rather than try and make it to the byline so there’s definitely a case for starting them both

I don’t know is my genuine answer

Adingra, MInteh's decision making wasn't good all game yesterday. FH needs to coach that out of him.
Spot on. Some skills and strength but the decision making is an issue. In particular knowing when to release the ball and avoid running into traffic and losing possession. Certainly exciting to watch.
