Saw them about 6/7 years ago. Were great.
Fair play, my mate said similar when I mentioned them a while back. Think I just saw a bad night, they were big into the drink and drug scene at the time

We were all wetting ourselves with excitement when we singed Alan Biley and the like of the Coca Cola kid?

our newbies wouldn’t believe in such luxuries after this bonkers transfer window
Indeed.

But I'm toying with post-nostalgia, and the idea of strapping myself in for the ride of my life :cheery: :rave::guns:

It is amazing. Clubs like Rochdale spent decades in the same division. All we do is turn up for games, and look what we’ve seen.
Give me ten minutes and I'll start feeling guilty.

Hang on...

No. No I won't.

Anyway, I remember you at 'the' Withdean. Three pints before KO, and (to your lad) "what's said at football stays at football".

It does seem like five minutes ago.

What a time to be alive.

I mean, Ansu Fati was an incredibly exciting signing, let's not beat around the bush here. But the current crop are very different, in that they're up and coming or established young players as opposed to fallen stars.

I remember being quite excited about Glenn Murray signing (the first time) as £300,000 was a big payout for us at the time;

Dodgy Rod Stewart hair cut
and sleeves scrunched down in his fists

Off at a tangent !
when did short sleeves become the norm exclusively ?
When the arse player cut his long sleeves off.

I remember trying to explain to myself that Rochdale were, in fact, a decent club to sign a player from.

I remember a time when Dick Knight would come out in the press and say that we nearly bought such and such a player, and we'd be happy with that news that we were at least interested in team strengthening.

Or that we'd signed someone (like a defender in the 90s for £75,000, was it Gary Hobson?) and we'd all be made up!!!

Different times indeed (y) :rave:

For the record I never wet myself by signing Alan Bailey, Vincente did have me ringing wet for sometime though.
Quite liked Biley. Scored a beauty v Carlisle at the Goldstone in the old 2nd Div as we thrashed ‘em 6-1.

Remember when Grant Horscroft from Lewes was going to stop our slide down the table. Tiltman certainly didn't fill Dean Saunders crutch guard free pants.
