Yep, hate them. I have one in my kitchen at this very moment, who I have refused to share an Indian with due to the fact he rates us as “Jammy”. “Jammy” is the fact that he is sitting beside my stepdaughter……

Maybe it’s just my own lived experience but when I was at school in the 1990s in Horsham there were loads more Liverpool “fans” than there were Man Utd ones

Including one particular prick who drove my lifelong hatred of them

No.

I have 2 cousins (well 1 now the others died) that used to follow Utd all over on a motorcycle in the 70s/early 80s just because they saw George Best on MOTD. I assume they used to take turns to steer and go pillion and this was pre M25.

As an aside I also have a cousin that followed and still does Liverpool home and away back in the 70s/80s.

The 3 of them used to tell me that you aren’t a supporter until you put you’re hand in your pocket and watch your team. And I really took that on board.

So a long way of saying; no I don’t hate utd but they’ve got some knobhead fans, as have we these days. That goes for Liverpool too.

Not that fussed either way, but I respect Manure in one respect which is they originally became rich through success, unlike the likes of Chelsea and City who did it the other way round (rich owners took over and pumped money into the clubs, which led to success).

Asian lad Man U fan in handcuffs in the coach park - looked very sheepish 🤣
Had a Man U fan move onto our row for some reason for the last 5 mins plus injury time. Presumably sussed elsewhere.

Tried clapping our moves but didn’t know any of the songs or our players. Became obvious when we scored number two. F**ked off the second the ref blew for full time.

Too busy enjoying our goal and win to send him off properly. Must try harder.

When I was a kid, Liverpool were dominant, so it was them I grew up loathing, with their army of plastic fans. I was reasonably pleased when United, in Fergie's words, knocked them off their perch. Equally, watching United decline since Fergie retired has been great. They've been average for years now, but they've become far more annoying since Ratcliffe came in and started threatening to throw money around while suggesting the taxpayer should fund their stadium redevelopment. Obviously they have a vast number of plastic fans, and even the away fans who used to be quite good and respectful, have turned into idiots since their team has become rubbish- a load of them were a total embarrassment after they scraped past us on penalties at Wembley, so beating them comes with an enormous sense of satisfaction.

And obviously that penalty after the final whistle a few years ago will always rankle, along with a number of poor decisions in their favour over the years at Old Trafford, though today and Mac Allister's winner two seasons ago have gone some way towards applying balm to that particular wound.
