I like this comment a lot. Sensible approach to benefit from their experience without being undermined and maintaining his authority.

"On Danny Welbeck and how having experienced players is helping him, Fabian Hurzeler said: "I am listening to experienced players because I can also learn from them. They have experienced more things on the pitch than me. I am not afraid to say that because I can learn from listening to their opinions.

"I can use that then to prepare for the match against Manchester United because he [Welbeck] has also played there and has some more knowledge about the club and their players. I would be silly if I didn’t use it. But it is then my part to make the decisions for the game."

Fabian Hurzeler also provided a fitness update on Evan Ferguson, Tariq Lamptey and Pervis Estupinan: "They have all been in training but we have to wait now to see how their rehabilitation continues and how they adapt to the intensity. Then we will see if they are an option for the squad, but I am very happy that these three players are back."

On new signing Georginio Rutter: "We will have to wait to see how he has adapted but he has played some games in pre-season for Leeds. He has integrated fast into the group which is the main thing, but I am also convinced he will be able to help us on the pitch as he has something special."

Also really like this approach on outgoing players. Stark contrast to Chelsea for example!

On whether there will be any more signings before the transfer window closes, Fabian Hurzeler said: "I only care about the players who are here. I am really focusing on working with them as they try to improve every day and come in with a positive energy. We will just have to see."

On possible outgoings: "The players who work here know how we plan as we communicate transparently. I will never play with their hopes. I can’t comment on any rumours but the players know how we plan with them and then it is up to them."

The guy is a total breathe of fresh air. Such a likable and humble guy.
The Sky Sports reporter mentioned Fabian came into the press conference this morning and introduced himself personally to all the press & writers in the room. What a nice touch bit of a contrast to grumpy Roberto.
Interestingly many elsewhere and a few who have done a Swansman and tracked him to us and posted here, have said he’s very fiery on the touchline.

There is a big difference between your actions on the pitch (or sidelines) during a game to off the pitch. I used to play 5 a side with @Bozza many moons ago, and one chap we played with was shy and retiring off pitch but turned into a total nutter on it!

He was going batshit mental when Minteh was injured at Everton, wanting to know whether to make a substitution or not.
He’s certainly not a Roy Hodgson rubbing his chin type. ( thank F@ck)

Just for balance, RDZ wasn't grumpy when he first arrived - I seem to recall him having a decent rapport with the press and everyone around the club. It was only really from January when things unravelled.
