Thought Eze handled his disappointment from the chalked off goal well when asked about in interview

It’s only going to get worse for them the way this window is playing out.

Why ?.

We certainly can’t keep up with Brightons spending but not many can.

With 8 of the first team only having 11 days back for training I was pretty pleased with the way we against a well drilled Brentford team, not the result obviously.

Palace at the moment have added to the squad with 3 in 1 out….i am sure that will change but no panic here.

It is you.
If no one was willing to pay £68m, why would they then pay £100m with less time left on the contract?
Is it possible for a release clause to expire and a team to end up buying below the value in the clause?

Possibly isn't the word... has it happened?

I’d just be concerned about the last day of the window with some of the talent you have that may get snapped up.

Isn’t every team ?

We bought in two excellent players in January Doucoure is back after missing more or less the whole of last season, I am pretty confident we can and will replace any players leaving.

We can’t all be money bags spending money like Chelsea you know. 😉

You can if you're brave enough to sell your Crown Jewels and reinvest the money in more top value youngsters.
If you hang on to Guehi and Eze you may miss the opportunity.

Time will tell if Parish will show the bravery and business nous that Tony Bloom showed when selling Cucurella, Mac Allister, Caicedo and Sanchez.

I can’t really get to in to football while Sussex are top of the table and I have a couple of days of test match tickets to enjoy.

But selling your prize assets is always a bit of gamble and can go wrong if you are not careful.

You could have if you'd bought wisely and then sold your best players for top money, but you let your best ever player leave for free.

I see that it's difficult for you to even type, but we're 'Brighton' or 'Brighton and Hove Albion', not Sussex. And if you can't get into football because we're doing well, you may be off football for a while.

Unless you meant a different sport, and a lower division.

EVERY other Premier League club has a higher net spend over the past 5 years (from 20/21 season, up to and including 18th August).

So Palace, along with 18 other premier league clubs (including the likes of Ipswich), are very definitely keeping up (ie, massively exceeding) our spending on a net basis (which is the only logical way of measuring it).

As a matter of interest, Chelsea's net spend is a whopping -£843m. Palace are at -£148m (11th highest net spenders). BHAFC are in 20th position at +£43m.
