Hart giving the goalkeepers perspective actually really helped show why positioning is so important for a goalkeeper and sometimes the "obvious" positioning is incorrect.

I agree. Total dive but given the new instructions I thought it could have been ignored. It wouldn't be the worst decision given against us by a mile.

Really don't understand why you think VAR got it wrong.
The ref blew the whistle for a foul on DCL by Dunk because Mr Ref thought Dunk tripped DCL.
VAR reviewed it and seen that DCL trod on Dunks ankle and then had a fight with gravity (and lost).
So the refs thought, which was Dunk fouled DCL, was wrong.
How is this NOT a clear and obvious error not matter how high this fabled bar is?
So many shocking decisions for the home team there in recent seasons. For example Romero has to commit multiple red card assaults, to get a red card.

reducing doesn't mean no intervention. this is what VAR is supposed to do, see the ref misread the contact and get them to review it. its not a case of minutely assessing who got a touch first or using 8 angles to show a player brushed the other.
Then there would be no point having VAR. This was a clear and obvious error, exactly what VAR was brought in for.

I get and agree with the logic but didn't think any logic would be applied today. Stockley park has made baffling decisions for years. When the guvner says "Do nothing as the referee's decision is final" I expected the guys on VAR to have a day off.
Luckily.for us, they decided to actually watch it.

You're making the wrong argument here! VAR didn't overturn the referee's decision, as has so often happened in recent years of the disastrous and inept operation of VAR.
They thought the ref. might have got it wrong, so they asked the ref. to have a second look for himself. He did, and saw that his initial instinct was wrong, so rescinded the pen.
That's 'Umpire's call' working to perfection.

I want to highlight what an utter tool and thug Tarkowski is.
That deliberate knee to the back of Pedro's neck was worth at least a yellow. It was absolutely disgusting from a real tosser of a player.
That he got one a few mins later for his hack at JP, shows that he had malicious intent.
He's up there with Fernandez, Kane and 3/4 of the Chelsea squad, as utter bellends.

I wonder if they should simply shortcut it like rugby union. Instructing Hooper; not a foul by Dunk, no pen, yellow card for Calvert for simulation.
That’d be my preference.
