Same here, I enjoyed his often repeated Tate and Lyle tale, the one about Transit vans being made in Turkey and, best of all, how he stuck it to the French with his rebellious romp through Marseille with his passport locked in his hotel safe. Whilst I didn’t agree with much of what he typed, or believed half of it to be honest, at least it had humour. Now he’s gone full and serious tin foil hat. What happened?

You’re right about the REMF, however I’m sure you can find a charity for the money if you REALLY think you know the answers to what’s on my ID, what I do, and where I sit in that global multinational tech company (which it’s not by the way)………especially given its GLOBAL, you know things change, talent gets rewarded…………

No. He’s offering a bet for the forename recorded on his ID, which is presumably not exactly the same as that recorded on, say, his birth certificate.

To be crystal clear, the bet offered was “I will bet you £1000 it’s not my name on my ID. I will send you a copy of my season ticket/other ID and I will pay £1000 to REMF if it’s “Robert”.”

After all, I used to use a picture of Lord Lucan as my ID for many years, and when travelling had 'ID' cards in all sorts of made up names for the fun of it.
