It's the premier league FFS. Any player with half an ounce of ambition would choose a top half PL team rather than stay in an inferior league.
Yeah but if he has the option to go to Arsenal etc- that's when we'll lose out on him.

He publicly reprimanded him for his effort / contribution to the team several times last season. (but fair enough - might not be characterised as a "falling out". )
So he “fell out” with two of the three players he allegedly convinced the club to sign?

I think Bloom and Barber always planned to step things up a notch this transfer window, but didn't involve RDZ in that because they'd decided he was too difficult to work with, and it was best to just let him have his little strop and then depart amicably with a nice send-off, while they set about finding a Coach that wasn't hot-headed and unpredictable, and who would be easier to manage and who the players would be able to work with long-term. Which wasn't the case with RDZ.
It's a massive cliche to use a gambling analogy BUT....

It's like the different stakes tables in a casino. Some gamblers walk in and plonk themselves at the high-rollers' table. Some of them have deep enough pockets to ride out a few losing hands, others crash and burn very quickly.
Shrewd Uncle Tony has started on the regular tables, building up his chips and is gradually moving to (transfer) tables with a higher ante, while still being able to cope with a few dud hands.
Everything would have to fall into place perfectly to ever sit at the very top table (regular champions league football & the associated commercial appeal & revenues that come with it, so unlikely), but all the time the club's financial position is improving, I think we'll see bigger fees being spent (relative to the market, if not absolute).

Bizarre that we are spending so much in this transfer window with an unproven PL rookie in charge. I wonder if RDZ was told to be patient before he went off on his January rant and media whinging? The guy got us to Europe and I confess I would have more confidence in him kicking on with what we’ve spent so far this window than I currently have in FH. More big signings potentially incoming too.

Anyway, exciting times, can’t wait for the season to start and the window to close
I'd heard it suggested somewhere that changes to PSR rules kinda necessitates spending in this transfer window if we want to use that pile of transfer cash that we have. The new rules would make it harder for us to spend in the future. Because new rules are capped to a percentage of revenue and our revenue is, relatively, modest. So sitting on a pile of cash isn't a great idea.

You will not hear me complaining!

To be fair, De Zerbi could fall out with anybody or any thing at any given time.
What was RDZ's fallout count if this is true then? I make it, in order?

Trossard
Sanchez
Dahoud
Pedro
Fati

Anyone else I've missed?

Possibly Facundo. He wanted to loan him out

Not sure the plans for Estupinan. His form fell off a cliff once he picked up a few injuries. When he got game time he was outrageously bad.

Even with a pre season in him you'd favour Barco to now be ahead of him.

The fact he's still injured and wont have a pre season. I'm not sure we'll get to see the old Perv
Mitoma was injured. They link.
