There's a few other U21s missing from that list too - returning loanees Yasin Ayari, Andrew Moran, Jensen Weir and Imari Samuels, plus, for instance, Benicio Baker-Boaitey and Luca Barrington. Are they in Japan with the first team, I wonder - or back home being fixed up for loans/moves?

Slightly OT but our U16s are at the prestigious ‘Supercup NI’ this week. Games are being streamed, but apparently cost £7 each so imagine not many takers……….Albion are in the ‘Premier’ section - fixture schedule in the link below.

Wow, that's a hell of a lot of football in a short time! If you're actually able to be there, a £25 ticket for (nearly) all matches looks good value; not so sure about £7 a match to stream though.
Good luck to our boys though.

Quite a weird set-up.

5 groups, the 4 best group winners qualify for the semi finals of the SuperCupNI, the 5th group winner drops in to the SCNI with the 3 best third place teams.

You’d like to think winning our third game would see us through to the SuperCup, but the goal difference boost from a 4-0 win doesn’t look as impressive when Down beat West Cork 8-0 in their opening game!

Cristiano Anah (our Italian U-16 international) got things started after great work from Zebedee Lawson:-
Wait ... we have a player called Zebedee? Hope he makes it to the top, just for the name.
