Do any of these presenters really deserve it?

If you have an anti BBC stance, likely fuelled by an online campaign to chip away at the stability of the corporation with the intention of neutering once of the last available bastions of truth and impartiality, then no. They definitely don't

Of course they do. Personally, I think the licence fee is too low. I would willingly sell my house and all its contents to help the BBC.
Personally I think the licence fee would be too low, even if Test Match Special were the only content. That's got to be worth at least £200 per year

It's easy to assess Lineker's worth. Compare MotD viewing figures on the days when he is there, and the days when he isn't, and see how many viewers he adds.

Your happy with Lineker getting a huge income for saying little to nothing?

Surely Vine on a quarter of his wage, and needing a vast array of knowledge should be well pissed with that.

Can you help explain the vast difference? And I thought the left would not support any wage above 50k, how do you guys really think?

I think all there wages should be capped as they have enough other freebies and perks.

Do you have any figures on this please?

The amounts listed are, for some, seriously understated as many "celebs" have some of their BBC earnings paid through their personal companies (Corporation Tax from 19% to 25% to avoid Income Tax at 45%).

Fiona Bruce is one. Her earnings do not include Antiques Roadshow.

And Graham Norton and Michael McIntyre are "doing it for the King" and are not being paid anything. Well, of course they are but are pulling the "personal service company" tax scam on all of their earnings from Auntie.

I was just quoting an old comedy bit. Anybody old enough to remember it?

I have an anti when I have to contribute to what I do not watch, i really hardly watch anything on the BBC and I certainly can not think of any sports presenter worth more than 50k + expenses

Sorry I didn't read your complete post, this can happen.👍
Why is the BBC relevant in this?. Isn't the question generally whether TV celebs are worth what they get paid?

Unless you have a separate problem with the BBC of course.
The BBC is relevant as said above, yes the question is any TV celeb worth what they get paid.

What does Lineker give more than Adam virgo for example?

You can't just take money out of a Ltd company without paying tax on it - if only you could!

They'll pay dividend tax of 39.35% on any money drawn from the company. When you consider that profits have already suffered corp tax at 25%, they'll actually get about 46p in their pockets for every £1 earned as freelance.

I guess the anecdotes and real experiences of playing for top teams in the world and getting to the latter stages of tournaments and playing some of the greatest players ever, trumps a decade of booting balls over an athletics track and into a car park.

That plus, he's obviously better at presenting
