Is this a joke. Steve Baker and Peter Mandelson in the BBC studio.

That tells you all you need to know about this election.

Goodnight.

Having been up with a 1yr old since 4am, I'm going to get some sleep with a smile on my face after that exit poll.
I dare say I'll be up at a similar time tomorrow, so will clock in with the early shift.
Good luck staying awake everyone and fingers crossed your hoped-for Portillo moments come to pass (is it greedy to want Truss, Rees-Mogg, Gullis AND Sunak?!)
Off you pop Tories, it's been a 14-year shitshow, so thanks for that.

A "loveless landslide" sounds about right to me. It will be very interesting to see how much the actual number of votes cast has gone up for Labour, if at all. 4 parties over 10% will mean that the cries for electoral change will get very much louder.

Well, to answer the 'Election Night Protocol' thread (now closed for some strange reason), I'll go for option 2.

But I'm for a good sleep anyway............................

So obviously Labour were going to win.
Unfortunately too many people happy to spend the next 5 years of crap and higher taxes.
Boo hoo!

The shy Tories have, based on the exit poll, doubled the 65 predicted by all and sundry.

It’s be a shame now to see the right wingers such as Truss re-elected.
Who was predicting 65? Certainly not all and sundry!
