At this point I want:
A comfortable Labour majority
Lib Dems in official opposition
Conservatives with under 100 seats...
...and sat next to the DUP who lose 3 of their 8 seats
Three seats for the Greens.
One seat for Reform - ideally in the constituency of a prominent Brexiteer Tory, and not Farage.

I think the 'yoof' are buying into Farage because of his anti-globalisation stance. They don't want the world being run by multi-national companies etc, which is fair enough. They're not seeing the racism that's underpinning the party though. They're also not understanding the irony of them looking at Tik-Tok and Instagram on their iPhones, using Google to research the 'best' ear pods and then ordering them from Amazon to be delivered the next day.
I know 3 people who have voted Reform today, 2 want to 'stop the boats' as the UK is full, they're over 50. The 26 year old has voted Reform because he doesn't want the UK run by multi-national companies, I completely get his point tbf but without that, he wouldn't be WhatsApping his friends, he'd have to buy 'Which' magazine to get recommendations for anything. We have invented a lot of things in the UK over the years but without spreading our wings towards other countries the only way we'd be able to communicate with someone in another country would be 'Air Mail'. I'm pretty sure that if I asked him if he wants to move to North Korea, he'd say no.
On the plus side his vote for Reform has just cancelled his Dad's vote for the Tories.

Yep. Same at my kids’ school. Reform have been all over social media. It is happening across Europe with the rise of the right on social media.not wanting to alarm anyone, the lad reports school had a mock election today. 40 for Conservative in last, however winner with over 200, was Reform.

Quite, I'd love to put my arm around their supporters and explain - You're being duped.....Yet they keep persuading the hard-of-thinking that they are on the side of 'the people' against 'the elite' - and up to 21% of the electorate support them

Oh, that's just the Russians, waging a hybrid war against Europe. They have realised that immigration can be weaponised to cause disruption in Europe. They are very good at it.

I’ve always been a Labour supporter and have always despised the Tories generally speaking, However I have friends that have voted for them and we argue the toss and usually end up having a bit of a laugh about the whole situation. (A bit like that Palace supporting mate most of us have)
Any Reform voters I know? I’m sorry but I cannot see beyond the list quoted above. I don’t think I’ll be laughing with them about this over a beer.

I was indeed, because people who vote for racists, fascists, homophobes, islamophobes, misogynists, antisemites, nazi sympathisers, Putin supporters, Trump supporters, Andrew Tate supporters and conspiracy theorists are normally intelligent, thoughtful, well balanced individuals
