Same here!

Last time I played football my knee went, then I played cricket and made it worse bowling, took a great catch but took one in the crown jewels batting . . .it was only practice for the pub team!

Boules makes a lot more sense

Darts and golf aren't sport, just games that score numbers.

Tireur or Pointeur? I tend to play with a French partner and he always insists on being Tireur. Frustrating as I reckon I can do both :lolol:

The missus and I took outdoor bowls up towards the end of last bowls season both as a sport and to meet folk in the village. Really love it, gets us outdoors and to some of the villages around Sussex. Shame it is seen as an old farts sport in this country, I wish I had had the time to take it up earlier. We have our own clubhouse and bar. Marvellous.
My mate took up bowls a few years ago when his knees couldn't cope with American Football any more. He loves it, and has even got his young lad playing - whos only about 10!
Talk about one extreme to the other!

I used to run a lot of half marathons, but my back put paid to that. Also played touch rugby but drifted away from the rugby club when my son gave up playing.

So football, cricket and swimming these days.
Football - I've always loved playing, but perhaps less nowadays than ever before in truth.
Cricket - I had forgotten how much I loved playing cricket but this summer's cricket has been great fun. Absolutely loving it, just wish the weather was better.
Swimming - I had to teach myself to like this sport as I used to hate it. It took me two weeks to even manage to swim a sensible number of lengths but now I try to get to the pool every 3 days where I swim 40 lengths (1km) every time I get in.

Play football on a social basis (local meet up with whoever wants a game twice a week), and have played futsal here for about the last 15 years. Have just started up a fourth team, so I'm not usually moving that well on a Monday morning after 4 games on a Sunday night. Play with a huge variety of people from mid 20's to 60 and in a mixed team as well. Going OK at nearly 50, but still top scorer in the top division!
