I learned French for 5 years from Tricolore. My French is decent enough, but nothing like my ability to be able to give directions to any significant buildings in La Rochelle.

Union Jack all day. France may have a much better national anthem but their flag is shit. Ours is iconic and up there with the coolest in the world. Theirs is three stripes like half the world has.

I think the Irish and Italians got the idea from the French, to be fair.
Having said that, the French flag is just the Dutch flag turned on its side.
