Very good article about (and interview with) former Albion left-back Alex Cochrane on the Sussex County FA website, for anyone interested:

(Interesting that when he joined RUSG on loan, he showed up for training on his first day and....the coach had no idea he had signed ).

Know nothing of his ability now but always seemed odd in the 2 years we were desperate for a LB he was not given a chance

Well, he's 24 and playing in League One which should give you a clue.

Given Alzate, Connolly and so forth I don't think Potter would have minded giving him the chance if he was good enough (or close to good enough), which he most likely wasn't.

That said, he's more successful than 99% of all footballers on the planet and can be very proud of what he's achieved in his career so far.

Saw him play for Hearts, cracking wee player. Sounds like he's started well at Birmingham
